The Phillip Lawrence Awards

Philip Lawrence was a good man and an inspirational teacher who believed in the goodness of young people. These Awards were created to commemorate his life.

The Philip Lawrence Awards are open to young people aged 11 to 20 and recognise outstanding achievements in good citizenship by young people. The prizes are awarded annually in December. Click here for details of the 2001 winners. Application forms are available from the applications area of the Phillip Lawrence Awards Website

Awards take the form of a specially designed memento and certificate. They confer the right to use The Philip Lawrence Awards emblem indicating the year in which the Award was made. Small cash sums may also be given to groups or their supporting organisations to invest in the Award-winning activity
