Evaluated Options

This section draws together findings from research on the effectiveness of different approaches to reducing vehicle crime. Favourable findings do not mean that an approach will ‘work’ in every situation. Using the option appraisal tool will help partners to assess whether the approach meets their needs.

A fuller survey of research can be found in the literature review: Reducing and Preventing Vehicle Crime prepared for the Beacon Council scheme. The review will be available from September on the DETR Beacon Council website. A link will be provided from this page.
