Guidance on the use of CCTV & Code of Practice

The provisions of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 do not cover the use of overt CCTV surveillance systems. Members of the public are aware that such systems are in use, for their own protection, and to prevent crime. 

Further guidance on the disclosure of covert material will be produced in due course.
