Other forms of disruption
Wherever possible there should be consideration of
the feasibility of asset seizure from traffickers (which may include
seizure of lorries and other non-monetary assets). Similarly it may be
appropriate to inform and assist victims in pursuing compensation from
the traffickers. This is likely to act as a deterrent over the long
term.
Organisations suspected of illegal activity can be
disrupted by regular monitoring and inspections, for example by
licencing authorities.
Demand can be addressed through awareness raising
within groups and communities who may include ‘clients’ of trafficked
victims.
