This report has been written as an update of the “Crime Reduction Through Technology” report issued by PSDB in 1999.
It reports on the progress made over the last two years by PSBD and its partners to harness technology more effectively in the fight against volume crime, and the fear of crime. This progress relates not just to novel technologies but also to making better use of existing technology through training and spreading best practice.
The report also seeks to identify future, near market, developments which are likely to improve the capability to reduce crime.
